Should I Call 911 When My Friends Start Flipping Out On Marijuana?

It seems that just about the time the second joint starts getting passed around the room, the girlfriend of the guy that nobody really wanted there in the first place goes quiet. Her situation is a little suspect, as everyone notices that she keeps feeling her chest from time to time. That’s when the quiet girl, despite knowing deep down inside that she is having some difficulty keeping up with the group’s rotation, decides she is going to try smoking high-powered concentrates for the first time. They will soon regret offering this level of encouragement. As soon as she blows out the hit, she looks as though she has been shot in the heart at close range.

It is at that point when she starts belting out a cornucopia of strange, colorful obscenities and begging for someone, anyone to call 911. Depending on which state a person lives in, calling in the cavalry when someone starts flipping out after consuming too much marijuana can bring nothing but trouble. Since it is impossible to die from a marijuana overdose, and the herb cannot cause any damage to a person’s internal organs, calling 911 for a THC terror trip is really just a waste of time. Sometimes those ever-so-popular cannabis freak-outs and subsequent calls to 911 can lead to hilarity. His video for the song The Leaf, which is a first person account of the time he called 911 following a cannabis-induced panic attack, has left the Internet in stitches.

Allport, who also works as an Associate Producer on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, told Forbes that he thought he was having a heart attack after smoking weed for the first time. After going through a rather tumotulous experience in an upstairs bathroom, which included a life-or-death battle with a dry tongue, he was lucky enough to reach a 911 dispatcher who understood exactly what he was going through.

‘Disjointed’ Is Like Any Workplace Sitcom

‘Disjointed’ Is Like Any Workplace Sitcom – With More Pot, Sex And Language Set in a medical marijuana dispensary, the big networks all turned the show down. Chuck Lorre is, without question, television’s sitcom king. He created two of today’s top money-making syndicated shows – The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men – and his other hits over the years include Dharma & Greg, Grace Under Fire, Mike & Molly and Mom. Lorre’s new show, Disjointed, co-created with David Javerbaum, premieres Friday on Netflix. The show’s Los Angeles set is a hippy-looking shop filled with psychedelic posters and glass cases displaying actual product.

Lorre describes his latest show, Disjointed, as just a regular workplace comedy, with wacky customers and lovable employees. The family tension in Disjointed is also more literal, deriving partly from the dynamic between Bates’ Earth mother character and her much more corporate son. Bates says she needed no such coaching; the subject matter is partly what drew her to the show. People are watching Netflix stoned with or without our show – by the millions, I would imagine. If the only people who watch us are stoned people who watch Neflix, that’s an enormous audience.

His show Mom, for example, is about a pair of recovering addicts, a mother and daughter. Javerbaum is a former head writer for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and the Broadway play An Act of God.

Comedian Doug Benson tells more than marijuana jokes

Doug Benson releases one album per year, has appeared on numerous TV shows, hosts a popular web series, Getting Doug With High, as well as multiple podcasts, namely Doug Loves Movies, and occasionally stars in movies – like his Super High Me, a documentary in which he smokes marijuana every day for 30 days. All of this is, of course, in addition to doing stand up across the country and throughout the world. We recently caught up with the cannabis connoisseur to hear about his high functioning career. DB: You caught me right before I’m going to be operating a motor vehicle no, I don’t drive high. CP: Charleston’s comedy scene is growing, and there will be many aspiring and professional comics at your show.

CP: You’re known for your crazy hard work ethic, but you generally seem to downplay it. DB: Sometimes I stop and ask myself why I have so many projects going on all the time, and it’s because I enjoy it. If I didn’t like doing one of my five podcasts, I’d stop doing it. If I didn’t enjoy going out on the road, I’d stop. CP: You did some extra work years ago in big-budget films, and you’ve appeared on a number of scripted shows.

DB: If someone wanted to give me a dramatic acting role I would probably do it. It’s call Chronic-Con, and it’s about me trying to get high with people dressed as superheroes at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Podcast: How Gringo director Nash Edgerton made a cannabis comedy, never touched the stuff

While Gringo, a new slapstick comedy out this week via Amazon Studios, rides the well-trod trope of a mega corporation up to no good, there’s a modern and timely twist: they’re manufacturing cannabis pills, called Cannabax, down in Mexico. Gringo is chock-full of Grade-A goofiness – weird diatribes about space exploration, kidnappings gone awry, dirty Mexican slang, awkward office sex – but at its heart is some genuine commentary on the ethics of the exploding cannabis industry, and Big Business’ growing role in it. The film, which stars David Oyelowo and Charlize Theron, was directed by Australian stunt-double-turned-director Nash Edgerton. We caught up with Edgerton to learn more about how he came to direct the film, what he thinks about cannabis legalization, his own history with cannabis and more. For the juicy details, tune in to our conversation with Edgerton, in this week’s episode of the Hash podcast, below.

Maine House overturns governor’s veto of marijuana bill

The Maine House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday to override Gov. Paul LePage’s veto of a measure to allow the commercial sale of marijuana in the state. The House overrode the veto with a 109-39 vote, according to The Portland Press Herald. The bill now heads to the state Senate, where lawmakers must vote by a two-thirds margin to overturn LePage’s veto. The newspaper previously reported that senators believe they have the support to overturn a veto.

The measure was crafted by a special legislative committee, and previously passed the House and Senate by wide margins. LePage vetoed the measure arguing that it would violate federal law. Nine states, including Maine, and the District of Columbia have moved to legalize recreational marijuana use, but the substance remains federally prohibited. Although possession of recreational marijuana has been legal in Maine since 2016, there has been no process to legally sell it in the state. The post Maine House overturns governor’s veto of marijuana bill appeared first on Cannabis Business Executive – Cannabis and Marijuana industry news.

Leftists Now Say Term ‘Marijuana’ Racist » Alex Jones’ Infowars: There’s a war on for your mind!

Leftists have set their sights on the latest problematic word in their feverish attempt to rewrite language. The word marijuana is now racist and has been expunged from the Newspeak dictionary. The article goes on to state that despite legalization, high arrests continue to be made in certain areas due to obvious racism. Of course the simple explanation is that more police officers are patrolling black neighborhoods due to high violent crime rates, meaning marijuana users are more likely to be caught in those areas. While no one denies the obvious over-the-top narrative pushed by the government during the reefer-madness era, the notion that marijuana arrests are solely the result of racism is disproven by the facts.

Twitter users were quick to criticize the story for what they felt was yet another non-issue. You damage your credibility and alienate your readers. Alexhalperin What ever you have been smoking to convince you that this was even remotely a good article, I want some. Quite possibly the stupidest thing I’ve read all day.

Listology

About a week and a half ago, the server which listology lived on suffered a catastrophic failure. Through a perfect storm of circumstances far too lengthy and tedious to explain, I found myself without an easy backup from which to restore, and my hosting provider found themselves unable to restore my site from the weekly server images that they store every week. They continue to work on that problem, however at this point I don’t have an enormous amount of confidence in their ability to succeed, and I have started to explore other options. I do have a copy of the raw database files that Listology ran on, and I am going to attempt to get these up and running. This could serve to be time consuming, and at the same time I am also hunting for a new hosting provider.

In the meantime, know that I have all your data and lists, and that one way or another we will get them back online. I do not have a timeline, and my work and personal lives are extremely busy right now. And Listology will return as soon as it can.

The Best Comedy Duos on TV Right Now – Flavorwire

After three months of cruel hiatus, Greendale reopens its doors to the best study group in the history of television. There are a lot of things we’ve missed since Dan Harmon, et al, took the piss out of Glee in a typically wonderful Christmas special: Jeff’s arrogance, Dean Pelton’s randomness, Britta’s, well, britta-ing everything she touches. Perhaps what we’ve longed for most is the heartwarmingly dorky, ridiculously culturally literate friendship between Danny Pudi’s Abed and Donald Glover’s Troy. We’re so inspired by the pair that we’ve rounded up the ten greatest comedy duos on TV right now. Let us know who you’d add to the list in the comments.

Community college best friends and roommates Troy and Abed rap, they host a fake morning TV show, they geek out about pop culture. They’re just like us! Except, you know, consistently funny.

Doctor 420- fight for medical marijuana with a twist of comedy

From comedy to cannabis: Roseanne Barr invests in Santa Ana pot shop – Orange County Register

SANTA ANA – First, comedian Roseanne Barr blazed trails with her sitcom; more recently she joined the growing reality TV world as she farmed macadamia nuts in Hawaii. Barr will be an investor and have a licensing agreement with a dispensary that’s one of 20 that won a city lottery last year allowing it to apply to operate in Santa Ana, the actress’ spokesman and the dispensary’s partners said this week. The dispensary will be called Roseanne’s Joint and will sell marijuana products bearing its name, said partner Aaron Herzberg, 46. Barr joins a growing number of celebrities trying their hand at medical marijuana ventures, in Santa Ana and beyond. Cypress Hill rapper B-Real was the first celebrity to jump into the local pot scene when his dispensary was among those to win Santa Ana’s dispensary license lottery. Last week, actor Woody Harrelson applied for a marijuana dispensary license in Hawaii. Herzberg said construction for Roseanne’s Joint could be completed by late April, a necessary element to receive the regulatory safety permit, and the dispensary could open shortly afterward. Dispensary partners see Roseanne’s Joint as only the start. Barr’s licensed products could someday be distributed at other stores and she could be involved in other pot shop ventures, Herzberg said. The building is 5,000 square feet, about three times the average dispensary size, said Francey, who’s already opened his first medicial marijuana shop in the city, OC3 at 3122 S. Halladay St. He and Herzberg said they hope the city will consider allowing cultivation or a coffee shop operation at licensed dispensaries.

In 1937, the first marijuana seller was arrested and convicted under a federal Law. As cannabis disappeared from pharmacy shelves as a pain-treating medicine, and with the government driving lies about it home the plant became a source of fear, marijuana began starring in horror films that years later would become cult comedy classics. Bill wakes up from being knocked unconscious to believe that he did the deed, leaving the message to be that a night of heavy marijuana use led to all of it. Six years later, in 1942, marijuana was removed from the United States Pharmacopeia, discrediting of its therapeutic legitimacy by the American Medical Association. Pulling up to border patrol in a giant green van, unaware that the van is completely constructed of marijuana, a stoned, lazy-eyed Pedro rolls down the window to greet a border patrol officer. In 1978, New Mexico passed the first state law recognizing the medical value of marijuana under the Controlled Substances Therapeutic Research Act. Eventually, marijuana gained more and more popularity as a sub-culture, complete with Tommy Chong selling his own bongs on the internet. Gallup is saying that 58% of Americans are in favor of legalizing marijuana. Within a 70-year time period, the subject of marijuana took the notion of a drug dealer from a homicidal maniac to a cuddly BFFF. At the same time, the plant itself has gone from being viewed as a menace to being viewed as medicine. Now, even whole publications like The National are taking a stand against the War on Drugs, calling it a complete failure and demanding full marijuana legalization.

Assessing the state of the stoner comedy with a Denver cannabis king

As far as cannabis cred goes, you can’t do much better than co-owning a dispensary and a chain of pizza parlors and sponsoring comedy shows. The A.V. Club, on the other hand, decided to ask him about the state of the stoner comedy in the brave new world of legal cannabis, where stigmas against smoking pot in polite society are beginning to dissolve. Movies in general exaggerate things, they find certain things to exploit, and you definitely see a pattern with cannabis [on film]. We’re starting to see some of that on TV, especially on streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, or cable networks like HBO or Showtime, showing cannabis use in a totally different way. After I got established in the cannabis scene and in pizza, I started Sex Pot Comedy at one of my pizzerias down south. So we moved it to the Oriental Theater, and we’ve been doing cannabis consumption shows there for about two years. If you saw the Sexpot Comedy logo on a poster, it was just kind of an unspoken thing that you’d know these venues were cannabis friendly. We have 45 shows a month in Denver, in L.A., Chicago, and New York City, we’ve got 20 podcasts, and they all tie into this central theme that even if they’re not about cannabis, they’re adjacent to it. KK: There’s been a lot of debate in Denver lately about whether a cannabis crowd is good to have at a comedy show. When talking about Broad City-for the past two decades, the cannabis industry has been notorious for sexualizing women, and whenever you’d see women involved in cannabis it’d be about sex, in ads or even in movies.

The Trump Administration’s Reefer Madness: The Daily Show

New marijuana workplace web comedy series filming in DC

WASHINGTON – It has been just over a year since D.C. voters approved Initiative 71, which made it legal to possess and cultivate marijuana with some limitations. Now, it is not particularly surprising someone has decided this would make a great subject for a television show. Washington D.C. has been the focus of plenty of hit shows, but one local couple said it is high time for a new kind of series – one focused on D.C.’s marijuana industry. They have been working on the pilot at the Mess Hall in Northeast D.C. They have turned a commercial kitchen space into a fictional marijuana cultivation center. The pair cast five main actors for the pilot of their scripted dark comedy. They chose five leads – four of them, including David Johnson and Devin Nikki Thomas, are locals. The filmmakers admit there is an advocacy quality to this project. They have spent $20,000 of their own money to make this show and they are disappointed one group – D.C’s Office of Motion Picture and Television Development – has declined to take part and won’t allow its logo to be included at the end of the show. A spokesperson for Office of Motion Picture and Television Development said they support the filmmakers and their right to film in D.C. But they said as an office, they did not want to be seen as endorsing what is a sensitive and still somewhat controversial subject matter, especially since they have not been able to review the final content. As for that final content, the creators said they are aiming for a release in early spring around April 20, otherwise known as 4/20. They are hoping to get picked up by a major distributor.

Netflix Marijuana Strains Used to Market Comedy That’s All Smoke and No Fire

If you regularly keep up on weed news, you’ve probably heard a bit about the new Netflix marijuana strains that were available last weekend as part of a promotion for their original comedy series Disjointed. If thousands of personalized Instagram photos of people excitedly or nervously standing in front of a haunted house can reach horror fans, it stands to reason that Netflix is considering stoners a target audience for their marijuana-centric show by offering limited edition official Netflix marijuana strains. Three strains tie directly into Disjointed while other Netflix marijuana strains reference additional original programming such as Arrested Development and Orange is the New Black. The strains were available at West Hollywood’s Alternative Health Herbal Services over the weekend and Netflix received no profit from their sale, meaning their stake in this was purely promotional. With this kind of lazy humor on a show set in a medical marijuana dispensary, you can probably guess how they handle stoner humor. It’s here that the idea to market official Netflix marijuana strains may have skipped a beat. The show is interrupted by fake commercials for marijuana products and bizarre segues that almost echo That ’70s Show. Not exactly the kind of jokes you’d hope for from a show about a marijuana dispensary in 2017. I recognize that Disjointed is a comedy show but its premise tackles some volatile situations, and placing the show in a unique position to actually broadcast a certain reputation for medical marijuana. Shows like Broad City, Six Feet Under and even Legends of Tomorrow seem to do more by showing regular people smoking weed and functioning normally in the greater plot of things.

Comedy, Cancer, and Cannabis: Alan Park’s Wild Ride

By all accounts, things were going well for Alan Park in the mid-2000s. The primetime cable show, which kept tabs on the minutiae of the country’s political and cultural inner workings, saw Park become the regular face of many of the show’s political impersonations, from former Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the United States’ Donald Rumsfeld, and even Barack Obama. Park would continue working with Air Farce for these specials, although soon, to the dismay of his fans, it appeared as if Park had dropped into near oblivion. As he reveals in Green Crush with Alan Park, the weekly podcast he launched earlier this year, the comedian got some not-so-good news that saw him indefinitely sidelined from the comedy acting and writing gigs he loved dearly. Park’s acerbic wit underscores a fearless attitude perfectly suited to someone who’s twice beat stage-four cancer. Where Royal Canadian Air Farce mocked the little details of Canada’s political goings, Park does the same with Canada’s legalization plan and the ballooning costs that law enforcement officials they say they’ll face. A frequent target of Park’s is Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, especially since her ministers announced that the province would restrict all forthcoming sales of recreational cannabis to 150 government-run stores and one government-run website. The whole angle Park brings to the show is one of a conspiracy-theorist radio host. Now, Park is doing that with cannabis, becoming a sort of Canadian-marijuana Alex Jones. There’s no stopping Alan Park-on every episode of Green Crush he cites some of the science behind the notion that cannabis may treat cancer.

Weediquette: The third season of the news magazine show, hosted by Krishna Andavolu, will kick off Wednesday at 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Viceland with an in-depth look at immigrants living in America who have been affected by the war on drugs as well as President Donald Trump’s rhetoric on undocumented immigrants. The show will air from L.A. Monday through Thursday at 11 p.m. EST on Viceland and will feature guest appearances from Jerrod Carmichael of The Carmichael Show, Blackish star Anthony Anderson, comedian and actress Aubrey Plaza and rap duo Rae Sremmurd. Greene has already covered a variety of pot topics on the one-of-a-kind talk show series, from how to break into the cannabis business and the medical benefits patients experience as well as legalization efforts across the states. The Weed Show with Charlo Greene airs Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. EST on its website, YouTube and Facebook Live. The show starring Mackenzie Horras, Molly Reynolds and Caryn Ruby as they attempt to launch a marijuana edible company in a still-illegal California. Kayvan Khalatbari rolls weed, pizza and comedy into Denver empire – The Denver Post

Kayvan Khalatbari generally appears calm, happy and confident, whether he’s on stage for a marijuana policy speech, in the conference room of his Denver Relief pot business, handing out coupons after a comedy show, or seated in one of his Sexy Pizza shops – where the free-pie coupons transform into food. On top of that, Khalatbari is also occasionally That Guy in the Chicken Suit, harshly mocking Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper over his stances on legalized marijuana as well as a philanthropist who sits on nonprofit boards and donates his time and money to kids. Khalatbari curses frequently and has vowed to never wear a suit. After earning his associates degree in architectural engineering from the Milford campus of Southeast Community College at age 19, Khalatbari began working at the Lincoln office of M.E. Group. He had already volunteered for various charitable causes in Nebraska, so when his brother Hassan found the marijuana advocacy group SAFER in a Google search, Khalatbari pounced upon it. Khalatbari worked behind the counter at Sexy Pizza for the better part of the year, consistently losing money on his $40,000 personal investment. Early on New Year’s Day in 2009, while coming down from a psychedelic mushroom trip, Khalatbari suggested to some of his Sexy Pizza cohorts that they start a medical-marijuana dispensary. It creates a tight schedule for the early-to-rise Khalatbari, leaving little time for a personal life or romantic relationships – especially since Sexy Pizza now has two more locations. Later this month, Khalatbari will launch an ambitious Sexpot Comedy website, which seeks to unite the disparate strands of Front Range funny – similar to what the Nerdist network has done in Los Angeles – while also marketing Khalatbari’s cannabis and pizza products to a coveted demographic of young, hip culture hounds. Khalatbari doesn’t expect a traditional financial return from the thousands he devotes to sponsoring local stand-up shows and culture podcasts each month.

How the Legal Marijuana Industry Is Helping Grow Denver’s Comedy Scene

The name is derived from Khalatbari’s chain of pizza restaurants, Sexy Pizza, one of which hosted the first Sexpot Comedy show early last year. The show has since grown and splintered into several regular events, hosted at different comedy clubs and music venues around town under the Sexpot banner. For years Denver has been a known destination for touring comics; the thirty-year-old Comedy Works has been proclaimed by performers like Dave Chappelle and Dave Attell as their favorite comedy club. Last summer, Juett and comedian Adam Cayton-Holland produced Denver’s first large-scale comedy festival, The High Plains Comedy Festival, which was headlined by Reggie Watts and ended up being a sold-out success. It was Kayvan Khalatbari’s marijuana dispensary, Denver Relief, that initially sponsored several different comedy shows and podcasts around town, back when Sexpot was just a witty pun being tossed around. While this continues in some arenas, the Sexpot Comedy shows have been gaining a lucrative momentum of their own, in part thanks to Juett’s utilization of the local comedy radio station for marketing, as well as the throbbing enthusiasm coming from Colorado’s energized marijuana scene. There’s no getting around the fact that some cannabis consumption goes on at Sexpot shows, whether through edibles, vaporizers or straight-up smoldering joints. Khalatbari shares Juett’s feeling that marijuana shouldn’t come to dominate the identity of Sexpot Comedy. He’s derisive of the Cannabis Cup and 420 Festival culture that has become an unfortunate media focus of Colorado marijuana scene; and says that he is equally sick of the endless cosmos-and-munchies jokes that every hack comedian rolls out when performing in Denver. Josiah Hesse is an entertainment and pop culture journalist in Denver, Colorado whose work has appeared in Westword, Out Front Colorado, and comedy blogs LaughSpin, Splitsider and The Spit Take.

The best comedy movies of marijuana HD

Loyola Digital Advertising

As several states including Colorado, Washington, and New Jersey legalize recreational or medical use of marijuana, weed is proving itself as a lucrative product with new opportunity for promotion. Legalized marijuana has also proven to be a polarizing political issue, causing many to question the safety of its recreational use. Because of this, states allowing citizens to get a legal high are now turning to responsible marijuana use public service announcements to ease the minds of those less gung ho about the drug’s journey to mainstream America. Beginning March 10 through the week of April 14, the state of Colorado, who legalized the recreational use of marijuana beginning January 1, will air an advertising campaign that cautions recreational marijuana users from getting behind the wheel while high. The advertisements take a more light-hearted approach toward driving under the influence compared to other DUI campaigns such as drinking and driving. The campaign uses humor to reach its target audience, featuring stoners under the influence of marijuana trying and failing to start a grill, play basketball, and install a television. While many would agree that public service announcements like this one are necessary in educating the public about responsible marijuana use, the humorous approach used by Colorado seems to satirize the issue rather than take it seriously. The humorous nature of the campaign does little more than to catch each viewer’s attention. The advertisements make fun of their target audience, which are recreational marijuana users, by playing on stereotypes and making them look incompetent, lazy, and annoying. While the goal of the public service campaign was not to vilify marijuana use, the message was communicated at the expense of those engaging in the recreational activity.

Killer Marijuana Movies, Anti-Marijuana PSAs, and Marijuana Comedy for Fun & Holidays

At a weekend party, we ate marijuana medibles and everybody was so high it was like we were tripping. What really made the night great was we kept finding incredible marijuana movies, stupid-funny commercials made against marijuana, and marijuana comedy. Some of these marijuana videos are only a couple of minutes long, but a few are full-length. What makes the anti-marijuana commercials so laugh-worthy is that they were meant to be serious. The people who made them actually believed the negative shit they were saying about marijuana in these videos. I suggest you inhale your favorite buds or dabs, or eat some potent medibles, put YouTube onto your wide-screen television, and get ready to laugh!!!

Marijuana for RSD

While it has given me new life, I also understand that it isn’t for everybody. You do not have access to any medical marijuana dispensaries. Never purchase marijuana from a street dealer!!!! Dispensaries provide clean marijuana and you can be confident that it wasn’t tainted with anything you wouldn’t want to put in your body. You believe that your doctor will support your decision. Although two of my physicians have not discouraged me from medicating with marijuana, they don’t necessarily support it either. One understands that it is my only choice because my body reacts so badly to prescription pain.

Kevin Smith Creates His Own

Smith wrote, directed, and stars in the project, along with Donnel Rawlings, Kristin Bauer van Straten, and Frankie Shaw. FremantleMedia North America and Starstream Media produced the project. The project joins what is now officially a glut of in-production television comedies set in the world of marijuana and especially dispensaries. Look forward to more networks and streaming services announcing their own cannabis dispensary workplace comedies, as apparently no one will rest until literally every single aspect of the business is mined in excruciating detail.

The reason for this is quite simple – there is a difference in classification between hemp, and between cannabis. Despite the fact that hemp is cannabis, this problem of classification exists. Hemp is anything below 0.3%. They don’t care about height, size, anything else – it’s just the THC factor that comes into play. The CBD oil industry is growing and changing all the time, and with hemp legal to grow, things could change in the near future. Since the most prevalent cannabinoid in hemp is CBD, not THC, we are on the right path. As it stands, we can create CBD oil in the UK; so long as it’s from hemp alone. If CBD oil is portrayed to the public as cannabis, then negative changes will most likely occur to legislation that will hamper the industry massively. This could go one of two ways; a hyper-conservative government could ban all use of CBD oil or hemp. They may go the other way and start moving towards a far more liberal attitude to the use of CBD oil and assorted products. Since hemp is legal in the UK and you can easily go and buy hemp seed oil in the UK, change may come sooner than we are expected here.

San Jose, CA – Yesterday a stoner ‘discovered’ that Billy Mays had died; seven minutes after his buddy said, ‘Hey, Billy Mays died. Sitting in his living room with two other buddies, hardcore stoner Johnny Blumington was alerted to the fact that Mr. Mays had died when he finally starting paying attention to the news story that had been running on the TV for a half hour. ‘Wow, that Oxiclean guy died,’ he said, to which his buddy Aaron responded, ‘Dude, I just said thatyou’re so stoned. Much laughter was had by all three stoners as they packed another bowl. ‘I was so hungry yoI didn’t even think about smelling the Miracle WhipI didn’t even think about it. Houston, TX – A local stoner attempted suicide upon hearing that ‘MJ’ had died. Harvey Pedophilia was told on the day of Michael Jackson’s death by a buddy that ‘MJ’ had died. Thinking his beloved Mary Jane was dead, this very baked stoner, or stoned baker, proceeded to dive head first out of an open third story window. ‘Hey man,’ his buddy said, ‘don’t hate on Michael.

Netflix cancels pot comedy ‘Disjointed’ after one season

Netflix announced that they would not be bringing back Disjointed for a second season. The show was unusual for Netflix for both portraying the marijuana industry, but also because it was a multi-camera sitcom, which the streaming service had not really tried before. They were even able to attract Academy Award winner Kathy Bates to the project, so things looked good. The show currently holds a 43 out of 100 rating on review aggregator site Metacritic, with many criticizing the show’s lame and predictable jokes that largely revolved around run-of-the-mill marijuana/stoner stereotypes and clichés. Still, Disjointed was one of the few TV shows that portrayed the legal marijuana industry in any way. While meth makers and other drug dealers get glamorized TV portrayals, the cannabis industry has been mostly ignored by studios. So even if Disjointed wasn’t the greatest comedy in the world, it’s still unfortunate that nothing is around to take its place. The studio behind Disjointed says they’re going to try and sell the show to a new home, so there may still be a chance more episodes are made in the future.

The president’s marijuana proposal, unveiled by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs early Tuesday morning, touts increased tax revenues and the potential to add up to five million jobs in its first year. The proposal needs to pass both the House and Senate, coming at a time when Obama is already trying to sell lawmakers on his $3.6 trillion budget. Gibbs said the president will hold special meetings with top government officials in the coming days to further discuss the plan. If passed, the American people can expect to start buying legal marijuana as early as the fall, Gibbs said. The plan calls for the Food and Drug Administration to have total control of all marijuana in the country. Tax rates still need to be hammered out, bur experts say there could be as much as a 50 percent tax on street value of the drug popular on college campuses around the country. Marijuana would be treated similar to alcohol and tobacco, meaning stores will have to be licensed to sell it. It will also carry an age limit, likely 21 and over. More details of Obama’s pot proposal are expected in the coming days.

Did that Show Really Happen? Comedy at a Medical Marijuana Dispensary

The following discussion is about a show I’m guessing will be in the top 5 on my list for surreal places to do a show. I was booked to do a show at a Medical Marijuana Dispensary in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I get there early because I wanted to scope out my show. I don’t know what most medical marijuana dispensaries look like, but this place looks like one of the coolest loft apartments you’ve ever seen. The shows are set-up for members and they were all sitting on couches or chairs passing around volcano bags like it was a pitcher of beer. It costs 100 bucks, which allows you to go into any medical marijuana dispensary and purchase your medicine. Now when she found out that what she initially thought was a nirvana gig would not legally allow her to partake, well it gave her a great little story to begin her show. Now I have done a few shows in people’s living rooms and this one had a bunch of people definitely happy to be there, so that made it easier than it would have been without the medicine. To combat this I made the show very conversational and spent a decent portion of the show sitting on a chair like I was Bill Cosby. The show went well and the audience couldn’t have been cooler.

Toronto’s Marijuana Infused Comedy Scene

The center of Canada’s comedy universe is home to a series of weekly rooms where audience members can openly smoke marijuana while enjoying some of the best standup the city has to offer. Third Klass Thursdays along with Weedy Wednesdays and Stoner Sundays are three of the biggest weekly standup shows in Toronto, vapor lounge or not and all three happen at Vapor Central on Yonge Street. Despite hosting three of the biggest weekly shows in the city, Chris won’t take credit for creating the weed-infused comedy circuit. Joey aka Puff Mama is a former comedy club employee at the now defunct Comedy Wood in Toronto. She started producing her own shows once the club shut down. Local comedian Rob Mailloux has performed on and produced several shows at Underground. With consistently sold out rooms featuring touring pros and stacked lineups of local acts, the Vapor Lounge series of shows are some of the strongest and most successful in the city. It’s a community of shows that’s thriving in the heavily saturated Toronto comedy scene. There are a few rules that everyone must follow at the shows. Whether visiting Toronto as a comedian, comedy fan, marijuana enthusiast or curious cat, the Vapor Lounge series of shows are worth checking out.

When Cannabis and Comedy Collide: An Interview with “Medicinal” Mike Boris

Comedy and cannabis have gone hand-in-hand for many years. While cannabis was still very much underground, comedy relating to cannabis began to emerge. Not only does Mike show the lighter side of cannabis, but he is also committed to spreading the truth about the amazing medical properties of the plant to an ever-widening audience. A mix of education, music, comedy and cannabis, Nuglife is the first-ever cannabis education show on syndicated terrestrial radio. I recently got a chance to talk with Medicinal Mike about his career, radio show and the cannabis community in general. Medicinal Mike: When I was a child every kid’s parents smoked cannabis but we all knew not to tell anyone. MM: The cannabis belt started as a way to educate people on cannabis therapy vs opiate pharmaceuticals. Steve’s Garden is a cannabis education muppet style show geared to educate responsibly to all ages and to have your ribs splitting from laughter. Through his humor, Michael Boris has brought the truth about cannabis to an untold number of people around the country and around the world. Through humor we will reach people unreachable in any other way, and they will see the light shine on the cannabis plant and all the amazing things it can do.

Funny Jokes and Laughs 🙂

If if looks like an oracle from Omaha, moves like an oracle from Omaha, and sounds like an oracle from Omaha, it must be another political tax on the rich. It seems as though President is spending too much time in Margaritaville, and that’s why in his drunken stupor he named his latest tax-the-rich part of his economic plan the Buffett Rule. Warren Buffett is so happy to have a tax named after him, that he’s going to celebrate the achievement by giving away more of his hard earned dollars to the government, rather than giving his secretary a better salary. Don’t feel bad for Warren Buffett’s secretary. She will always be known as the woman who paid a higher tax rate than the Oracle from Omaha to the Obstacle named Obama. Giving the government more money is like giving more cocaine to a cocaine addict with the biggest weapons arsenal, and you git ‘er done with the Buffett Rule. In the next version of the Buffett Rule, rich people will pay for your classes. President Obama wants to pay more of his own money in taxes. Never mind that he can print all the money he wants. President Obama thinks the Buffett Rule will solve America’s debt crisis, because it’s hard for him to see well through his own smoke and mirrors.
