Long-lost, local stoner-comedy ‘Arnold’s Wrecking Co.’ resurfaces in Marijuana Film Marathon
Philadelphian Steven E. de Souza made his name in Hollywood with screenplays for 48 Hrs., Die Hard, Commando and many more big-budget hits. When he was just trying to launch his film career back in 1972, he made a little 16mm pot-com called Arnold’s Wrecking Co., starring Mike Renshaw, who would later become a reporter for the Bucks County Courier Times. In honor of the 4/20 National Marijuana Holiday Arnold’s will have its small-screen premiere at 7:20 p.m. on shoutfactorytvlive.com and on Pluto TV, CH 515.
Starring Renshaw, de Souza and Eddie Henderson, Arnold’s Wrecking Co. tells the tale of a student who tries pot for the first time, loves it and decides to distribute it, much to the aggravation of the police and the mafia.
[VIDEO] ‘Disjointed’ Gets Premiere Date
Cough-cough-cough Kathy Bates and Netflix sure know how to celebrate 4/20. The streaming service announced a premiere date for the Emmy-winning actress’ new weed-themed comedy Disjointed on Thursday – aka April 20, the highest of high holidays. The first season will premiere on Friday, August 25, with Bates starring as Ruth, the owner of a L.A. marijuana dispensary. Sitcom guru Chuck Lorre is onboard as a co-creator and executive producer.

Earlier today, we found owner Lev Kelman setting out free samples of his ubiquitous Brooklyn Dark. Next to him, a coffee and espresso machine was primed and ready.
Hemp chocolate brownies, pastries, and cookies were laid out on baking sheets in a small showcase on top of the counter. A few hemp t-shirts were displayed on a red brick wall.
